Rachael and her Husband have created a homestead in Cheyenne, Wyoming. As mother of 5, she enjoys homeschooling, homesteading, and being outside in nature, when not gleefully diving deep into IRS publications.
Rachael believes in personal responsibility and taking charge in today’s day and age. She and her husband have chosen to educate their children under the Thomas Jefferson education philosophy.
"We have the opportunity to explore our world and are committed to be lifetime learners that don’t believe in pigeon-holding learning opportunities."
Growing up in the inner city of a major metropolitan area, Rachael loved her summers when she was able to go back east to rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to help out on her uncle’s 90 acre organic produce farm. There she learned basic lessons about quality, promptness, and entrepreneurship as well as food canning, dehydrating, fermenting, cheesemaking, sewing and tailoring. Taking those lessons into adulthood, she continues to have a well stocked larder and even started having a small garden with the help of her children.
When Rachael is not working, her family likes to be outside, it allows them to connect with nature, breathe fresh air, and enjoy the beauty of their surroundings. Being outdoors also provides a refreshing break from their daily routines, boosting moods and overall well-being.
